It was Small Business Saturday this weekend, so Frome Nursing Home put even more effort into thinking about small businesses.
Many of those who live at Frome Nursing Home used to run their own businesses. Frome Nursing Home celebrated and remembered these for Small Business Saturday
Frome Nursing Home’s model of care means that people’s past is constantly put at the forefront of care. Being able to interact with objects or simply being able to see them is so beneficial for those with dementia. Eve Wells has her own sensory pub in Frome Nursing Home, since she used to be a landlady in Bognor Regis. Recreating these small businesses is a perfect way to ensure the best lifestyle for those living in the home.
Margaret Rhodes, Home Manager, said to us “The Frome Nursing Home family used to run so many interesting businesses. We love to celebrate these as part of our pioneering model of care. Eve loved having even more visitors than usual to her pub thanks to Small Business Saturday.”
Frome Nursing Home offers residential and nursing care to 60 people. It is currently recruiting nurses and care workers to join its award winning team.
